March 6, 2019
“Brad argues Before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to Defend his Victory in a Patent Infringement Lawsuit”

In the Southern District of Texas, Brad won a summary judgment of patent invalidity for his client NOV after proving that the patent at issue was invalid for being indefinite.  Brad’s victory was appealed to the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, where the parties had their oral argument on March 6, 2019. “Brad argues before the Fourteenth Circuit Court of Appeals to Preserve Lower Court Victory”

After defeating the San Jacinto River Authority’s Motion to Dismiss in Texas state district court, SJRA appealed the loss to the Fourteenth Circuit Court of Appeals (one of the two highest appellate courts in Houston).  The Fourteenth Circuit held oral arguments on the appeal on February 13, 2019, where Brad fought vigorously to protect his clients.

“Brad Featured in the Kingwood Observer for his Appellate Battle against the San Jacinto River Authority”

Brad was featured in the Kingwood Observer for his fight in the Fourteenth Circuit Court of Appeals against the San Jacinto River Authority.  Brad represents over 150 citizens of Northeast Houston, who are seeking compensation for the destruction of their homes pursuant to the Texas Takings Clause.

“Brad Featured in the Houston Chronicle For his Fight for Water Release Victims After Hurricane Harvey”

On October 6, 2017, the Houston Chronicle featured Brad’s case against the San Jacinto River Authority (“SJRA”) for intentionally releasing too much water out of Lake Conroe to destroy Brad’s clients’ homes.  Brad is honored and proud to represent over 150 clients in the fight against the SJRA.

“Brad Featured in the Houston Chronicle for Trying to Get an Injunction Against the San Jacinto River Authority”

Brad was featured in the Houston Chronicle for his work representing citizens of Northeast Houston, whose homes were destroyed by the San Jacinto River Authority after Hurricane Harvey.

“Brad Wins Week Long Jury Trial”

After an embroiled week long jury trial, Brad was able to win on all counts for his client in a personal injury matter to recover for catastrophic injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision.  The jury awarded Brad’s client five times his actual damages, and the win was so one-sided that no appeal followed

“Brad Wins Federal Circuit Appeal”

Brad was part of the team that won a Federal Circuit Appeal in favor of Brad’s client.  Brad’s client received a dismissal with prejudice as a sanction at the district court level.  This Order was appealed by the attorneys from the opposing party.

“Brad Helped to Uncover Concealed Evidence, Which Led to a Dismissal of the Case with Prejudice”

Brad was part of the trial team that exposed the head of litigation at Bracewell & Giuliana, LLP for withholding critical evidence.  After the fraud was uncovered, Judge Keith Ellison dismissed the case against Brad’s client with prejudice as a sanction for the misconduct.   This victory was featured in Law360, the Houston Chronicle, and the Texas Lawyer (among others).

“Brad’s Client Secures $112 Million Settlement”

Brad was on a team, who helped their client secure a $112 Million settlement after receiving a final judgment for patent infringement in the District of Colorado.  The settlement was the largest in Texas for 2013 and was made between two large oilfield service companies.

“Brad’s Client Wins Case After a Finding of Patent Invalidity”

On December 6, 2012, Judge Keith Ellison ruled in favor of Brad’s client by invalidating the patent at issue in the suit.
June 19, 2012

“Brad helps his Client Win $19 Million in a Case Over Automatic Driller Technology”

On June 19, 2012, Brad was on a trial team who helped secure an award of $19 Million for patent infringement from the District of Colorado after a weeklong bench trial.  The case was a patent infringement dispute over automatic driller technology. The case was the largest award in Colorado for 2012.

“Brad Wins 19/19 Claim Construction Arguments in an Eastern District of Texas Patent Infringement Case”

In a patent infringement dispute between two large oil and gas companies, Brad won a Markman ruling, which found for Brad on every claim construction issue.

“Brad Wins Two Week Jury Trial Over Restaurant Franchise Dispute”

After a heated two week battle between ex-partners in a Berryhill Baja Grill & Cantina franchise, Brad’s client won an all accounts, won the full amount of damages requested, and even received an award of punitive damages for his troubles.
